SOPHIE'S STORY
"We were told Sophie was living her last days... that was over 1.5 years ago!"
Liz helped my old and sick dog tremendously.
My 14-year-old pupper, Sophie, has a little list of very serious health issues, and in December of 2024, we were told by the vet to keep her as comfortable as possible because she was living her last days. She wasn't eating and could barely even lift her head. It was heart-wrenching.
I truly believe Liz brought Sophie back to her little old self with her therapy sessions. Her appetite began to pick up, and she quickly gained her energy back. I know that is what saved her from being so close to death, but I just knew it wasn't her time yet.
This has given my family and me over 1.5 years (and counting!) to be with Sophie!
I am so grateful for every day I have with Sophie. To be blessed with so much more time with her is more than I could have ever asked for.
I will never be able to express how much I needed this for my dog, and how much Sophie needed Liz at that time when there seemed to be no other options.
I highly recommend Liz and the therapy she provides. On top of that, she is a wonderful and kind person with a beautifully gentle and calming energy.

KATIE'S STORY
"Katie has life back in her eyes."
My 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Katie, had cancer and was receiving palliative care when Liz began working with her as a case study for her Bowen Therapy training.
I truly believe Liz helped Katie have a better quality of life. After her Bowen Therapy sessions, Katie became deeply relaxed and finally slept through the night. She began enjoying short walks again—sometimes twice a day! Before therapy, she didn't want to go for walks at all.
A friend commented that Katie had life back in her eyes. I agree!
I do believe that Canine Bowen Therapy is also beneficial for palliative dogs, providing them with a better quality of life for their last days with us.

JAX'S STORY
"The biggest surprise was finding him on the couch after his third treatment."
Jax is a Yellow Lab who is almost 14 years old. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. Over the past few years, hip dysplasia has really affected his mobility. He struggled to get up from laying down on our laminate floors, especially if he had been there for a while, and often needed assistance. Stairs were also a challenge. He would stand at the bottom and work up momentum before attempting even a few steps.
Liz kindly offered her services to see if Jax would benefit from a series of three Bowen Therapy treatments, so we decided to give it a try.
From the very first visit, Jax seemed to know Liz was there to help him. His coat began laying smoother, he walked more freely, and he was able to go up and down stairs with much greater ease. He no longer stood at the bottom to think about it.
After the second and third treatments, I noticed even more changes. He had more energy, more bounce in his step, and moved with greater freedom and speed. He started spending more time being active again. He even attempted to lift his leg to pee, which he hadn't done in years.
The moment that surprised me most was finding him on the couch after his third treatment. He hadn't been able to get up there for about four years. He also started sitting again, whereas before he would only stand or lie down.
The biggest improvement I noticed was his ability to get up from the laminate floors on his own without assistance.
Overall, Jax benefited immensely from these treatments. I can't thank Liz enough for helping my old boy live his best life with more energy, greater mobility, and the ability to join us on long hikes this winter with no trouble at all.
Liz has the kindest heart and truly cares about the animals she treats. Jax picked up on her calm, inviting energy immediately, and I feel that was so helpful throughout his treatments.

BARNIE'S STORY
My Golden Retriever, Katie is 10 years old and has cancer. She is palliative. When Liz explained to me what course she is studying, I was more than happy to agree to have Katie be a case study. Although Bowen Therapy is meant for dogs with mobility issues, I believe that Liz has helped Katie have a better quality of life by her therapy. Katie become so relaxed after a session that she sleeps through the night. Katie has enjoyed going for short walks, sometimes twice a day!
